So adorable! I'm allergic to soy, dairy, lavender, wheat, sesame seed oil, as well as sensitive to certain cuts of pork and chicken. <3 And it always seems like I'm finding new things as well.

Totally relate to allergy problems. I am severely allergic to nuts and peanuts. Like they would actually kill me. Eating out is near impossible (but getting better). Its one of the reasons I struggle to go abroad too

So much fun! Also, a recommendation - while studying a language is a ton of work (worthwhile in my opinion, but still, sooo much work!), I would really recommend that you guys learn how to read hiragana (and maybe katakana). Unlike kanji, there's not so many characters to learn so you could totally get it down in a few days, and it is SO exciting when you can start reading things that used to just be squiggles to you. Most of the packaging on this stuff has at least some hiragana or katakana on it, I just think you two would really get a kick out of that since you are such big fans of Japan ☺️ (and who knows, you might get addicted and become a student of Japanese, it's such a beautiful language!)

Weightlifting Fairy is my fav! And To the Beautiful You! I just finished It's Okay to Not be Okay and it was sooooooooo good! It's about abusive/toxic relationships and finding people who make you stronger... Truly so beautiful to watch and really tugged at my heartstrings, as I was in a toxic relationship when I was a child...

I've been allergic to cinnamon for the past decade and let me tell you I SCREAMED when Tom said that Jamie is too! It's such a pain - but nobody ever believes that because it doesn't seem like it'd be in everything but it is! Sending commiserations to Jamie Jo from the long-term spice sufferers group! 😝😉

Totally relate to the “will this kill me” scenario. Gluten is the main huge one for me but then more and more things have gotten on the list over the years to the point where now I can pretty much only eat meat and seafood (but only some meats and seafoods).

I totally understand being allergic to weird things. I actually can't have anything labeled with "natural flavors" sooooo probably all of these products would kill me, hahaha!

I am also allergic to cinnamon! More like cinnamon flavored things, though, as opposed to the actual spice. Like cinnamon gum and candy makes me break out in a terrible rash.

Do I have food allergies? Yes, Yes I do. I have a Shellfish Allergy that developed later in life which is common, and could have been triggered by medication I was on at the time. I grew up eating all sorts of shellfish never having a problem until mussels started making me sick and my throat felt weird after consuming shrimp.

Whilst I can still eat Crawfish and Lobster which I enjoy when I do have, most other shellfish such as crab and shrimp will make my tongue swell and close off my throat, I can't afford an epi-pen so I have to be overly cautious and carry benadryl with me at all times.

I was only tested for a Shrimp Allergy when I initially had bloodwork done to determine if I in fact was allergic to such things, but I later found out that shrimp vary greatly to other shellfish and they are not all the same chemically, yet I have not yet been tested further to determine the actual spectrum of my Allergy I just avoid for my personal safety.

Eating Out is a nightmare. If they have fried shrimp or other shellfish on the menu I can't have anything fried from that restaurant, and I have to avoid seafood joints because there is a massive risk of cross contamination of even non seafood cuisine. First thing I ask if I walk into a restaurant and they have more than one seafood item on the menu that is in the shellfish category is "Do you prepare in a separate area or follow proper sanitation protocols between food prep?" or "do you use the same grease for your shrimp as you do your fries/chips other fried foods" My family and I have to check menus online ahead of planning eating out to ensure I can eat there because just going and being assured I'll be accommodated is not good enough. For instance when I first found out I was allergic to shrimp my nana brought me a hamburger home from a seafood restaurant she had been assured I would be accommodated and they followed protocols to ensure my food was not contaminated; I still ended up having to take benedryl to counteract the reaction I had because it had been contaminated.

Working in the food industry is a nightmare, my first job was at a sandwich shop they had a seafood sandwich and I was fired because I wouldn't do as I was asked because my boss would tell me to glove up and still demand I prep it and make the orders containing it when I was straightforward with the fact I had an allergy. They refused to accommodate me, so I can't work the food industry, God help me if I ever get into a position where I might have to take a job in it because they won't hire you if you disclose a food allergy and if you don't disclose it you can be in a world of trouble.

If someone does not have a food allergy they are very very fortunate. I couldn't imagine mine being worse than what it is and there are people out there with worse reactions and worse allergies than myself.

Thank you for your videos, they always brighten my day :)

Also yes I am allergic to milk, but luckily soy milk and almond milk (and rice milk, ew lol) have become very prominent in stores in the US so I can still have that. Although I'm lucky: I just get stomach problems and a head cold reaction for a few days, also hives when I was younger. I have a friend whose little sisters are both deathly allergic to milk, eggs, and nuts of any kind, so they have epipens and have been to the hospital :( allergies can really suck. I'm glad you are aware and have found foods that are tasty without your allergens in them :)

Allergy issues creates shopping trips for mostly just the same old stuff. I am deathly allergic to all forms of alcohol so no matter if it's food or body products, all ingredients must be read. Asian food contains sauces with alcohol. Alcohol cooks down, but it does not cook out completely so always a risk. I find meals I can eat, and they typically stop selling it or the recipe changes and contains alcohol. I have to alter recipes and make things at home a lot.

Cold pineapple feels like having my mouth full of stinging bees. Vine ripened strawberries and red tomatoes when eaten in large quantities or for a few days in a row creates hives. Talk about evil because I love both.

I applaud being brave enough to order these packages knowing they may be completely inedible for allergies. They look like so much fun.
