    I wonder what the rationale is for having a trolley that supports a basket? In NZ, we have large trolleys and (depending on the supermarket chain you visit) smaller trolleys or even smaller baskets.

    With the Japanese way, you can't buy more than a basket holds. What do you do if you're feeding a large family? Visit the supermarket every day?

    A really different cultural aspect (expensive fruits in japan, sometimes given as gifts because of how expensive and "precious" they are. Contrary to the cheap seafood and "country-made" food (typical japanese food)).
    we can also notice the abundance of plastic, which is kinda bad :/

    In Greece we buy fruits and veg by the TON....I would have been very sad if I had to buy only one peach...and the figs looked fabulous!!!!!!....As for the supermarket ...it looked fabulous and a wide range of products....GREETINGS !!!!!
